Several changes were made to the default theme of xoops, and among them we can mention the current of xoopsitalia.org. I tried to keep as much as possible the primary features and adding just a few lines of code and files in a sub-folder.
The most interesting thing is definitely deleting all html tags table, although it remains the table selector in the css file.
The images were modified from the logo which has a three-dimensional light than the default logo.
The images have been added to the titles of blocks, header and footer.
It was deleted the tag html fieldset, which was located in Central blocks, and instead of tags legend, was added to the tags h3 for only title of central blocks.
The structure of theme is also easy to modify if you want to adapt to your liking, the selectors have only a few properties, nothing difficult.
Xortify - Fortify your XOOPS. Community Release by Chronolabs co-op.
Xortify is a network security drone that uses Web 2.0 techniques to link between your XOOPS installs and other via a Server Cloud. This will prevent security intrusions to your xoops with accurate deceptive notation of the intruder and prevent any farmed attacks. It is an accessory and required Protector to be installed an running to be part of the hookup. Otherwise it will run without protector just make sure you deselect protector as a provider.
It will display a template if you are banned and is an accessory to protector or any other firewall technology. The site itself is driven from http://xortify.chronolabs.coop and mirrored at http://www.xortify.com .. Cloud computing is web 2.0/3.0 stuff it used a SOAP or JSON, XML or Serialisation to exchange on the API backend to work, this will eventually be included in xoops as a support class.
A cloud computing process is one which staggers multiple networks sometime and mainly unknown to the webmaster into a network or cloud of data. In this example it is IP and Netaddy names to control access lists.
This will prevent predators from exposing your network to lag and other attacks from link farming, often this means many xoops are attacked in occasions which is all the time caught by protector, this way if an attack is in process across a large spectrum of links, your site will down itself to your sourced attack even if it is discovered on a completely unaffiliated site that is link farmed to yours or on a XOOPS User list.
Xortify is a cloud solution to protectors Bad IPs, if someone attempts to hack your site and becomes a bad IP it will then send the IP to the Ban Cloud on Xortify.com and its paired cloud Xortify.chronolabs.coop. Xortify is finally bug free, there was a lasting reminder of how it can be quiet frustrating developing software, especially cloud solutions with so many variables to hone to make sure the system is working, you should enjoy this version and any future releases for XOOPS 2.7, but as it stands I can't find anymore situations, warnings, notices or WSOD with this copy.

XoopsTube is a module to add and categorize videos from sites like YouTube, DailyMotion, LiveLeak, etc. on your website.
Originally developed by McDonald, it has been now converted to XOOPS 2.5.x Admin GUI and updated with some source code from MyTube 1.05 and other modules like Mastop Publish, and tested on XOOPS 2.5.5 and PHP 5.3.10
Start with the new Imprint and total reconstruction of the TXMod Xoops modules upgraded to xoops of GUI 2.5. The news are mostly in the reconstruction of the administrative side, a remake of the source code with the class moduleadmin, which has now supplanted the Admin class that was in all modules. Frameworks included in this class, we can draw on it without having to make too much modules.
The innovations that have been included, in addition to the administrative side of this form are fields for text in administration and improved with a new graphical user side via templates and css style.
And 'possible to customize it easily, not having too many files to edit, adapt it freely at any site.
As in the previous case, they felt that XOOPS provides the best combination of features, security, and support. They also liked the modular approach of XOOPS, and the ease of adding new functionality by installing additional modules. And they felt that with the continues development of new XOOPS versions, there is a guarantee that XOOPS will be around for a long time.
As in previous case, it is thanks to the hard work of Mowaffaq and his team from www.arabxoops.com, who were able to successfully demonstrate the value of XOOPS, and address all the questions from the technical stuff of the High National Elections Commission.
We are very proud that XOOPS has been selected by national, state, and local governments around the world, like State of Parana in Brazil (http://www.cidadao.pr.gov.br/) or Tainan County in Taiwan.

It's been a while since the last issue, almost a year, but things have been hectic around here, we had some turbulent times that kept us busy, and there are only 24 hours in a day But we hope that we'll be able to get back to our regular monthly cycle.
The most important thing is that XOOPS development is going forward, with XOOPS 2.5.5 Final released this week. This is the best XOOPS version ever, with several bugs being fixed. In parallel to working on XOOPS 2.5.5, the Core Team has also worked very hard on cleaning up and refactoring of the Core as the foundation for XOOPS 2.6.0, and you'll see the results soon. Just to give you an idea about the magnitude of the work that especially Trabis did, is the fact that the current XOOPS 2.6.0 Core, which is still in the pre-Alpha stage, already runs on PHP 5.4 with NO SINGLE error in E_STRICT mode. If you want to check out the source code, you can download it from our SourceForge SVN, but be aware - this is a "pre-Alpha" code and a lot of wrong things can happen, and a lot of things are missing.
The current focus is on improving quality and streamlining the source code so we have a solid foundation for the future. There was just too much PHP4 and old XOOPS related code that got accumulated over time, and we needed to get rid of all this "baggage"
So XOOPS 2.6.0 will be our focus for the upcoming months, as well as finalizing our Basic Module Pack, with all the module sharing the same "look & feel"
The key to make all of this happen, is to have enough developers and contributors. So we would like to encourage everybody to ask themselves a question:
What can I do for XOOPS? What could I contribute to XOOPS?
We cannot expect that few people will do everything:
- develop Core - develop Modules - develop themes - develop documentation - provide support - translate into local languages
By putting too much pressure on them by expecting too much, it will only cause their "burnout" and quitting XOOPS
We need to create more teamwork and more community spirit by getting more people actively contributing to XOOPS.

WURFL is a module that will allow theme designers to implement themes customised for Mobile Computing. WURFL is a XML Database that this module will import and allow for propogation of it resources on User Agent based browsing of mobile phones. With WURFL 2.10 and later, there is now support for ScientiaMobile Cloud with there WURFL Supported Device identification cloud.
WURFL is a world leader in Mobile communication data and this module utilizes WURFL from sourceforge (see. http://wurfl.sourceforge.net). This module is now complete with Theme Switching depending on the capabilities of the mobile computing device whether it be phone or pad.

The main scope of the WURFL Project is to be an independent central repository of device information, which Open-Source developers from around the globe can utilize to build their mobile web applications.
All the information listed in WURFL has been collected by ScientiaMobile and the community of WURFL users from many different countries. WURFL can be used in any application, free or commercial. In the spirit of the originators of the project, open-source developers who adopt WURFL should share device information with the rest of the community. This will help WURFL to grow better and better every day.

After a long meditation for creation of a module to create themes quickly, here comes xThCreator, a first beta version which produces, after a few data administration, our theme very easily. A version that should be the prelude to another version that promises something interesting in the facilitation and customization of our themes for xoops.
A module to create the basic theme with tinymce editor automatically by including the html tags in the document or layout. The necessary files can be modified at will. This is only a beta version that will be developed to better manage the code directly into the editor administration.

Gapply is the reunion of five modules in one with the name of Google Applications, that some applications like google, map, earth, search, docs, image color.
These are just some of the other applications that will be included in future in the same module, starting from a 3D map, street view, ability to insert markers, addresses, cartoons and more.
Among the bug fixes of the previous version, which was the module gmapsearch, the map section includes two text fields for research with Cartesian coordinates for latitude and longitude.
The map of the earth can be accessed using the text field to search for a location, and with two mouse buttons and scroll wheel.
As for other applications, just enter a keyword in the search field to obtain the necessary results.
EPICentre is a fully fledged TV Station done in XOOPS 2.5. It has been developed over the last several months carefully between fibredyne and chronolabs. Some of the Open Source modules we have been releasing over the last several months have been components of EPICentre which does also have some priopriatry code layers as well.
Utilizing the 4 years of RND by Robert Nathan of Fibredyne Pty Ltd and the skill of modular design by Simon Roberts (wishcraft) from XOOPS and Chronolabs Co-op. EPICentre has been honed to a finite perfect solution to presenting Live Sports namely fighting events to the community.
There is still more to come we coupled with www.4mation.com.au to design a Call Out system that is still in development that allows for the end client of the site to make fight call outs, vote on existing call outs, and so on just like YouTube, utilizing Flash and Wowza 3.x media services. This will eventually allow the client with a webcam to challenge other end clients (fighters) to a show down in the ring, where people can vote for the ones they want to see and if successful the fight goes ahead.
The Media Delievery and production of events is done by the Fibredyne Team. They produce 720p and 1080p IPTV Live streams and transcode live to Apple OS like your iPhone or iPad, Andriod and other mobile platforms. The site also supports seated and online ticketing of fights to view and watch from home or on the go or even at the event for commentry on the fight. The sports system is tied into a massive application called VS. This will never be released as it is priopriatry to the site and business, that allows for live scoring, events, fights, assets, managers, trainers, gyms, companies and a whole lot more to be group into the fights topology as well as controlling camera and event information like tickets amoungst other things it functions and control the wrap on the live sport with VS Module.
So check it out, and if your into fighting you may want to even watch an event. I know it was out of my world when I first watched it, I only do ninjutsu for exercise not really to cause damage.
The Partners module provides a page and a block for displaying links to the websites of cooperating organizations, together with short descriptions and optionally logos. Typical usage includes recognition of websites that refer a lot of traffic to your own and 'thank you' pages for sponsors.
This module has been originally refactored for Blue Move by ForMuss, and I have updated it for XOOPS 2.5.x

This is BETA release and as such, not meant for production sites.
XOOPS FirePHP/Firebug package has been updated to version 1.7, and includes the latest FirePHP class.
FirePHP is a Mozilla Firefox plugin/extension that merges with Firebug and enables you to log to your Firebug Console using a simple PHP method call. All data is sent via response headers and will not interfere with the content on your page, therefore it is ideally suited for AJAX development where clean JSON and XML responses are required.
Frankblack was frustrated with debugging his AJAX applications using just the standard Debug Mode, therefore he ended up using FireBug + FirePHP as addons for Firefox, and he rewrote XOOPS class/logger/render.php to output the XOOPS debug messages to FirePHP, resulting in a very flexible solution. Trabis contributed as well, and now we have a solution that is very helpful to XOOPS Developers.

When assigning XOOPS_URL to a javascript variable in eighter preloads or specific pages.
Most often the browser will deny your request and return only an empty respond. But not give error. This can be seen in FireBug's console when the requests is returning code "200 OK" but text is in red color = empty result. Very annoying
The problem is between Xoops Cookie and browser. I noticed this when being logged in to a xoops page and closing the page without logging out. When re-opened the ajax running in my preloads (in this case XIM and Smallworld) was denying sending messages or posting to the wall.
Sinnedesign is happy to present the new FREE XOOPS Theme with the name Sd-089-Reisen-Green . The Free XOOPS - Theme was made with friendly help from Leitner Reiseportal.
The site is now using xoops 2.5.5 and the following modules
1. 3 instances of publisher (hacked to use common js, css files for all the clones) 2. Extgallery 3. Xoopsfaq (Having some issues with not being able to display categories based on weight) 4. Replaced Pical with APCal (Thank you DEDALE for all the updates to this module) 5. xForms
Also added the wibiya toolbar to the website.
I am not that good with color combinations, so kindly suggest if there is something that I can change to make the site more pleasing to eyes and easier to use.
The next on my todo list is to replace discuss with facebook comments on the blog section.

After a brief tutorial on streaming data of the users of twitter, I created this module so as to have a sorted list of images, title and text of the tweet that friends sent in real time on our site.
This beta 1 is very light but can be changed at will using the css style file, included in the css folder of the module.
The research has a limited number of queries to the search so as not to block the servers too.
After this version will probably be another one that also provides for the registration, login, and the creation of applications using a special form directly from the module.
But we hope that we'll be able to get back to our regular monthly cycle.
